Your icons are truly beautiful. I have been studying, writing and learning about Icons for several years.
I note that one of yours was done on watercolor paper. Could you tell me if you use egg tempera as your medium? I am also curious to know your thoughts on icon boards, the preparation of them, etc. I noticed Aidan Hart was your teacher, his book is a wonderful inspiration.
Do you have, or are you contemplating writing a book on icons, any papers I could read, or anything pertaining to iconography I might be able to find to purchase? I only wish I could take your classes! Do you do any workshops?
Thank you for sharing on the web some of your beautiful work.
Christine

Dear Christine – Thank you for your kind words. Yes I use egg tempera on paper, just as you would if you were painting on gesso. It is slightly easier to handle when you paint on paper than on gesso and so I think that it is the best introduction to the medium. There are a number of book projects in the pipeline…watch this space! David
