Episode 31: Christopher West and David Clayton on Popular Culture and the New Evangelization – Our Lady of Guadalupe and Bruce Springsteen

This week we are delighted to have Christopher West on the Way of Beauty podcast. You very likely know of his as the passionate advocate of the Theology of the Body and the writings of John Paul II. But I wanted to ask him about another of his great interests - the place of popular culture in the New Evangelization. Should Christian culture be high brow, low brow or no brow? What lessons can we learn from the popular culture of today and of the past. We talk about Bruce Springsteen, U2, Genesis (okay, we’re both children of the 1970 and 80s), and Our Lady of Guadalupe whose image brought millions of Aztecs into the Church.
